Still unsure? Send the date, suburb and guest count. We can usually point you in the right direction from there.

Email us a question
Which spit roaster size do I need?

It depends on what you are cooking, the total meat weight and whether you are roasting a whole animal. Send us your guest count and menu and we will recommend the smallest roaster that comfortably does the job.

Can you supply the meat as well?

Yes. Choose one of our ready-made packages or tell us the meats and guest count for a custom quote. Whole pigs and lambs supplied through us arrive mounted to the spit rod and ready for the roaster.

Can you cook and carve at our event?

Yes. On-site cooking and carving can be added to a custom meat order or ready-made package. We will confirm the venue setup, access and serving time in your quote.

Do the packages include salads or tableware?

The listed package price covers the spit roaster, charcoal, firelighters and meat. Salads, hot sides and pasta dishes can be added to your order and are confirmed separately in the written quote. Bread, plates, cutlery and other tableware are not included.

Is delivery included?

Delivery and collection are quoted separately because the cost depends on your Melbourne suburb, date and timing. Add the event address to the form and we will include it in the written quote.

Do you charge per person?

No. Equipment hire and ready-made packages have published fixed prices. Custom meat orders, delivery, collection and optional cooking are itemised for the event rather than charged per person.

How do the refundable deposits work?

The cleaning and security deposits are small $40, standard $50, large $60 or extra large $70. The applicable deposit is refunded when the roaster and all parts return properly cleaned and undamaged, subject to the booking conditions.

How much meat should I allow?

Around 200 to 250 grams per adult is a useful starting point. Appetite, other food and the length of your event all matter, so we will help you settle on a practical quantity.

Can I cook a whole animal with other meats?

A whole lamb or pig generally takes up a full roaster. If you also want lamb, pork, beef, chicken or gyros, plan on using a second roaster.

What happens on a Total Fire Ban day?

Charcoal equipment must only be used when conditions and Victorian fire restrictions allow it. Check the current CFA advice before cooking and contact us if restrictions may affect your event.
