Choose from the dressed weight

The lamb weight tells us which roaster will fit.

A whole lamb needs enough spit length, motor capacity and clearance to turn steadily over the charcoal.

The standard roaster supports a whole lamb up to 10kg, while the large supports up to 12kg. The extra-large roaster is available for larger animals and events needing more clearance.

You can arrange the lamb yourself or ask Party Spit Hire to supply it mounted to the spit rod. Prices are based on the selected equipment and order, never a per-person catering rate.

Before you book

Confirm how the lamb will arrive and be mounted.

If you are sourcing the lamb, ask the butcher for its dressed weight and confirm how it will be prepared for the spit. Those details help avoid choosing equipment that is too short or too lightly rated.

A whole lamb ordered through Party Spit Hire is supplied fitted to the spit rod with the required brackets. Add the event date, suburb and desired serving time so delivery and collection can be planned.

  • Dressed lamb weight and approximate length
  • Whether Party Spit Hire or your butcher supplies it
  • Outdoor cooking position and access
  • Whether another roaster is needed for additional meat
Run the roast your way

Hire the equipment or add event-day help.

Equipment-only hire suits experienced cooks who want to manage the charcoal and timing themselves. Charcoal can be added to the order if required.

For a more hands-off event, request on-site cooking and carving. We will confirm the venue requirements and work backwards from the serving time in the written quote.

  • Published roaster hire prices
  • Whole lamb supply quoted as an event order
  • Delivery and collection based on the event address
  • Optional cooking and carving quoted separately
